Central Granite Company is a family-owned granite and marble monument manufacturer based in Elberton, Georgia, proudly serving monument retailers across the United States since 1924. For more than a century, our business has been built on craftsmanship, consistency, and long-term partnerships within the memorial industry.
Located in the heart of the Granite Capital of the World, we maintain one of the largest inventories of domestic granite colors in the region, with over 20 colors in stock. This allows us to control material quality, streamline production, and deliver dependable lead times for our retail partners. By keeping both inventory and fabrication in-house, we reduce delays, improve consistency, and provide retailers with greater confidence when quoting and scheduling projects.
Our capabilities span the full memorial manufacturing process, including custom sawing, precision polishing, sandblasting, etching and engraving, graphic design for memorial layouts, and large-scale fabrication for monument retailers. From traditional upright and flat monuments to custom memorial designs, mausoleums, columbariums, and specialty projects, every piece is produced with careful attention to detail and durability.

Central Granite Company was proudly featured in the Spring 2021 issue of The Graniteer, the official publication of the Elberton Granite Association. The feature highlighted Central Granite Company’s craftsmanship and collaboration on a custom triangular obelisk memorial honoring female veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Working alongside Central Florida Monument Company, the project showcased Central Granite’s precision fabrication, including the use of Flash Black granite with detailed sandblasting and laser-etched military emblems, as well as custom-sawn Central Gray granite bases.
The article recognized the monument’s thoughtful design elements, craftsmanship, and symbolism, as well as Central Granite Company’s role in producing the stonework and structural components.
